Freda Yako-Malott, BSc, RMT
Freda Yako-Malott graduated from Trent University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. She then went on to continue her studies with massage therapy at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy. After successfully completing the course and passing Ontario Massage Therapy Board Examinations, she was a Registered Massage Therapist in 1994. As she continued to grow her practice, she found interest in Manual Lymphatic Drainage and successfully completed the Dr Vodder Manual Lymph Drainage and Decongestive Therapy Course in 1996 and has been re-certifying every two years since. She has recently completed studies in Matrix Repatterning and is fully certified. She attends symposiums for review on a yearly basis.
Freda is integrating lymphedema treatment with Matrix Repatterning to further her success of lymphedema therapy. Matrix Repatterning is a promising evolution of assessment and treatment of injuries to treat the whole body and increase results of conventional lymphedema management.

She customizes each treatment to meet your specific needs by incorporating a variety of assessment and treatment techniques that are best suited to you as an individual.

Velda became interested in holistic medicine, especially the science of reflexology, during the time that she was establishing herself in her initial career of education. Family illness inspired her to to further research the benefits of reflexology, In 2004 she completed her training, passed her examinations and requirements, and became a certified foot reflexologist. At this time, Velda continues to teach full time during the day, while seeing clients in her off hours to help them improve their health.
