Reflexology is based on the principle that there are reflex areas in the feet which correspond to every organ, gland, and part of the body. Through the application of pressure on these reflex areas, it relieves tension, improves circulation and helps promote the greater balance to the body and mind of the related areas of the body.

The benefits include relaxation, enhanced circulation and stress reduction. There are over 7000 nerve endings in the feet and these are connected to the whole body through the central nervous system. Reflexology stimulates these nerve endings which in turn stimulates the body and promotes self-healing. Reflexology is designed to restore the delicate balance between different body systems and functions and when this is accomplished, harmony is restored. Because reflexology is so relaxing, it is also effective in pain relief as tension is released from the body and stress reduced...so pain is also reduced.  Reflexology increases the flow of energy, increases circulation and stimulates the digestive system. When the reflex areas of the feet are stimulated, the body's natural electrical energy that works along the nervous system becomes cleared of blockages in the corresponding zones.

Reflexology treatments are for all people of all ages. The pressure applied during each session is not meant to inflict pain, and the client dictates when less pressure is required. Stress removal is the first priority, followed by enhanced balance between all the body systems and functions.
